two very different songs about running

Wrote two *very* different genre exercises last March and kept telling myself that I'd circle back, rework, reproduce, properly mix, etc. them but, here we are a year later, and I'm busy juggling a thousand and one other projects with very little time to sit down and polish these songs the way I wanted to. So instead of letting them gather dust in my hard drive until god knows when, figured I'd let em loose in their current form. Might revisit both at some point, might not, kinda like the raw homespun quality they've got at the moment. Purely by chance/on accident but thematically the songs actually work quite well in tandem I think - one song's about wanting to run towards something and the other's about wanting to run away from something. One song was influenced by some more pop-oriented music I'd been listening to at the time (Charlie Puth, Lizzy McaApine and Rina Sawayama in particular) and the others more grungey and rock-influenced (pulling lots of inspiration from The Black Keys, The Arctic Monkeys, a lil Radiohead).
