A 'Lil Game Of Cat & Mouse [attempt #4962] (2017)

A duet for Bb clarinet (the mouse) and mixed percussion (the cat) inspired by the children’s cartoon Tom & Jerry.  A cat & mouse stretch and yawn their way through their morning routines in relative peace and solitude until the cat stumbles upon a small hole in the wall, the humble abode of our good friend Mr./Mrs.  mouse.  From there, a quirky chase begins as the cat tries a variety of different methods to capture our playful, quick-witted, and jazz-loving mouse.  Will our cat succeed?  This being the cat’s 4,962nd go of it, all my money’s on the mouse.
